BMS launches Pathlight Analytics Platform to support clients

BMS, the leading independent specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, announces the launch of Pathlight AnalyticsTM. This platform is designed to harness the collective power of the analytics disciplines to better assist clients with examining, analysing and interpreting data as it pertains to their specific capital and risk transfer goals and objectives. The platform works across both insurance and reinsurance. Pathlight AnalyticsTM is part of a strategic build-out of analytics thought leadership and proprietary solutions which further solidifies BMS as the global independent intermediary and advisor of choice and follows the appointment of Kirk Conrad as the Global Head of Analytics for BMS.

Nick Cook, CEO of BMS Group, said: “BMS values the combination of technology and individual expertise. We continue to attract market-leading talent to the business and are pressing ahead with further investment in analytical and actuarial capabilities. The launch of Pathlight AnalyticsTM is testimony to BMS’s commitment to delivering the very best in advisory services to our clients and we look forward to spearheading the introduction of client-centric technology into the market.”
Pete Chandler, CEO and President of BMS Re, praised the significant step forward this platform makes: “Pathlight AnalyticsTM is BMS’s comprehensive and interdisciplinary analytics offering, now available in a unified platform. Existing pre-built analytics tools have limitations when approaching client-specific challenges. Pathlight AnalyticsTM closes the gap in the market for a tailored, independent approach.”
Kirk Conrad, Global Head of Analytics, added, “The broking industry has been focusing too much energy on producing generic tools that show well but do not provide the actionable intelligence clients need. We like to say that BMS provides answers not output. The focus of the platform, and the broader company for that matter, is on addressing client challenges. We do not think in terms of actuarial capabilities, catastrophe analytics capabilities or rating agency advisory, rather, we think about how we can help a client improve their underwriting results or determine the most efficient use of capital. Answers to these questions requires an environment that breaks down silos to include all of our analytics thought leadership. Building this platform has been an exciting project. Using it allows us to work more closely with our clients delivering agile analytics insights to achieve their goals.”
