BMS Group, the independent specialist (re)insurance broker, today announced the appointment of David Overton as a Director in BMS Latin America & Caribbean’s Financial Lines division, effective immediately. Overton will be based in Miami and report to Daniel Court, Director.
Overton has 21 years’ experience of placing and underwriting complex risks across a broad spectrum of classes. He has worked as a broker at several London broking houses, including Integro, and as an underwriter for international Financial Lines business at Barbican Syndicate 1955 and Allianz Global & Corporate Specialty (AGCS). Most recently, he served as head of sales at EmergIn Risk (Ryan Specialty Group) in its Miami office, offering Cyber to Latin American and Caribbean clients.
Court said: “BMS is a recognised expert broker in Financial Lines in Latin America & the Caribbean. David’s strong background in cyber liability insurance allows us to offer our clients an additional advisory service in this market segment as well, providing access to premium Financial Lines/Cyber cover and top notch broking capabilities.”
